Start Thinking about Changing the World

I guess I never really started thinking about making that much of a change in the world until I heard John Mayer. I knew that I had strong convictions on certain issues such as starving children and homeless veterans, but I never really thought about doing anything about it. I know that at this time, peace seems to be a new fad for teens. Honestly, I'm hoping that this is something that will stay in style. I may only be 16, but I'm starting to realize what being the future of America truly means. I've never wanted to be so active in my community or in the world. I'm bordering on an activist already and all I do is rant at my lunch table. From Free Hugs to To Write Love On Her Arms, I feel the urge to help humans, animals, and the environment. I spend most of my life on the computer. Why shouldn't I help do something productive? I try to get my friends excited about things like recycling and planting trees and already we all are thinking about voting. Some people think that young people don't care about current events. I honestly just think that it hasn't been approached in a way that is appealing to teens across the world. I'm not the most peaceful person in the world and I still have much room to grow, but I know that I can at least be a hypocrite with hope. I know that my friends and I can make a change. I know that teenagers, adults, adolescents, children, and the elderly have the capability to completely transform the negative. It's all about finding something that you are willing to live and fight for. It takes passion and determination, and the ending result is something absolutely amazing: Change. Peace is something that people will die for, so I would like to show my peers that peace is something that we should be willing to live for as well.

Live Strong. Love Life. Give Back. Free Hugs. Stop the bleeding and the hunger. It seems overwhelming and impossible, but the human race wouldn't get anywhere if we didn't try our best to reach for the stars.
